He's an 8 sweep old pailsmith's apprentice, making "training buckets" for young trolls, which tends to end with both parties horribly awkward, as he's not good at showing the other troll how to expel genetic fluid.

He gave Karkat his training bucket, actually. The result was a broken, bone bulgeless Filupp after realizing that his genetic fluid was a very bright red.
