Sup, /oc/, I'm trying to make a sprite for my fantroll, and I'm having some difficulties. I open up the sprite into MSPaint, and the entire background is just black. I'm not sure, but I think it has to do with it being a .png, and I'm thinking it needs to be a .jpg. How can I circumvent this? Or, if anyone is feeling generous, could you post a version of this that I can use? It'd be great, and I'd be pretty appreciative of it.

Does this help? I just made the background white.

I don't think MSPaint knows how to handle transparency, so if you want the BG to be transparent, you'd need to use a different program for that. I use GIMP for everything pixely, it is a lot easier to use than Paint for me.

If you're gonna be modifying sprites for your own purposes, get something better than mspaint.exe. Something with layers. Once you start using layers, you'll never go back.

Another GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) user here, and I use it on both Windows (work) and on Linux (home). and here's another KK sprite for you, with an easy-to-remove background colour.
