I dunno where to post "help for making an OC." I have a book at home that's a dictionary of symbols -- it's the paper version of Symbols.com.
- Get a random symbol: http://www.symbols.com/random/
- Look up a symbol by name: http://www.symbols.com/index/wordindex-0.html
- Look up a symbol by the way it's drawn: http://www.symbols.com/section/6/category/18/
To make it easier for drawing sprites, you might want to use a symbol that's in the Unicode character set. You should be able to highlight, copy from these charts, and paste into a 'text' area of your drawing program.
